Cyril Mouawad has been appointed general manager of several hotels for the Marriott Marquis City Center Doha and the Marriott Executive Apartments City Center Doha. It will oversee the operation of the two facilities, which together include more than 800 guest rooms, 12 restaurants, extensive meeting and banquet facilities including fully equipped al fresco dining, a health club, fitness room and miscellaneous facilities..
Cyril joined Marriott International in early 2022 as a Hotel Manager prior to the opening of Le Meridien City Center Doha. Under his leadership, the hotel successfully opened on October 30, 2022 in preparation for the city’s international football season. The hotel exceeded expectations and exceeded its goal.
Cyril is no stranger to Doha having held a number of positions at various brands in Qatar during his enviable career. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame of Commerce with a major in Hospitality and Tourism, Cyril brings over 24 years of experience in the hospitality industry. After making a name for himself as a director of Sales & Marketing with InterContinental Hotels & Resorts in Beirut, Bahrain and Doha, Cyril moved up the ranks swiftly to hold several roles including Hotel Manager for InterContinental Doha, Pre-Opening General Manager for Staybridge Suites Doha and General Manager for Holiday Inn Hotel & Residences Kuwait.
