At the USTOA Annual Conference, Madhya Pradesh Tourism showcased its diverse thematic tourism circuits while underscoring its commitment to responsible and community-based tourism. Alongside its celebrated wildlife reserves and heritage monuments, the state promoted immersive rural experiences, artisan-led trails, tribal cultural encounters, eco-tourism, and wellness offerings designed to encourage longer and more meaningful visitor engagement.
The presentation reflected Madhya Pradesh’s vision of positioning tourism as a catalyst for inclusive economic growth, strengthening local livelihoods while safeguarding the state’s natural and cultural heritage through sustainable tourism practices.
International Day of Yoga Reinforces Wellness Tourism Vision


Officials from Madhya Pradesh Tourism participated in the International Day of Yoga celebrations in Bhopal, reaffirming the state’s growing focus on wellness tourism. The initiative aligns with the state’s broader vision of promoting destinations where yoga, spirituality, forests, and pristine natural landscapes converge to offer holistic and transformative travel experiences.

Kalakund to be Developed as a New Eco-Tourism Destination

Madhya Pradesh Tourism has announced plans to develop Kalakund, near Indore, as a dedicated eco-tourism destination that celebrates its rich forest landscape, scenic railway heritage, and remarkable biodiversity. The proposed development includes nature trails, eco-friendly visitor amenities, birdwatching facilities, camping experiences, and enhanced interpretation centres, all designed with ecological sensitivity at their core.
The initiative aims to diversify the tourism landscape around Indore while encouraging low-impact, nature-based travel to one of the region’s lesser-explored yet ecologically significant destinations.
Helicopter Tourism to Enhance Connectivity Between Heritage Destinations


Madhya Pradesh is set to introduce helicopter tourism services to improve connectivity between key destinations, including Bhopal, Orchha, and Chanderi. Beyond offering panoramic aerial experiences, the initiative is designed to significantly reduce travel time between major heritage attractions, making premium and short-duration itineraries more convenient for both domestic and international travellers.
By integrating aviation with tourism infrastructure, the state seeks to enhance accessibility, create high-value travel experiences, and strengthen its position as a destination offering seamless access to its rich cultural and historical treasures.
